Indeed, change is the only constant. The world has changed post-COVID-19 and will keep changing.
Technology will continue to push back human efforts in several areas. The world has gradually accepted the new normal. Remote work, e-meetings, e-commerce, e-transactions and drive for contactless human interactions at every touchpoint is becoming a way of life, and Nigeria cannot afford to be cheering from behind with no medals and no glory.
According to the Nigerian Gross Domestic Product report, by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the gradual improvement in economic activities this year was largely driven by the non-oil sector, which grew by 0.8per cent in 2021Q1.
The over-rated oil sector – which accounted for 9 per cent of real GDP – remained in contraction territory at -2.2 per cent in 2021Q1.
